Stark Carpet – Showroom Manager


STARK is seeking to hire a Showroom Manager in our San Francisco, CA showroom.

Base pay commensurate with experience. Eligible for additional bonus.

Job Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth
  • Identify target accounts and organize showroom visits, office presentations, out-of-office meetings to build rapport for the company and the assigned Account Manager
  • Help close orders by assisting with product selection, pricing, estimates, and approve discounts
  • Reach minimum personal sales goal
  • Client Retention/Relations
  • Recycle inactive accounts constantly
  • Resolve client complaints and order issues by speaking directly to clients
  • Facilitate presentations to clients
  • Sales Team Leadership
  • Accountable for approximately 7 salespeople with an annual business volume of $10-15m
  • Hold weekly team meetings
  • Analyze new accounts and assign to Account Manager based on pre-determined criteria (best match)
  • Meet bi-weekly with Account Managers to review sales pipeline, year-to-date writing and billing, and discuss under-performing accounts
  • Conduct individual coaching conversations to encourage higher-level thinking
  • Develop Account Associates and Account Managers to meet the requirements for their next level on our sales track

Other responsibilities:

  • Oversee showroom Operations Manager and other support personnel
  • Reinforce standards and best practices taught during sales and product training sessions
  • Promote company culture to boost morale

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years showroom management experience required
  • Must possess a strong interest in the interior design trade as well as interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
  • Must possess advanced knowledge of carpet qualities, attributes and manufacturing techniques OR relevant sales management experience
  • B.A. / B.S. Degree preferably in Interior Design or related field preferred
